These are some examples of my sketches. Ever since I started drawing, I was always into drawing people, mainly faces, with the focus on expressions and emotions.
Starting from the left:
Immigrant- I wanted to portray the hardships that this person has endured through a face expression. This man is scruffy and his hair is scattered about, he has worry lines on his forehead, dark eyebags, and an expression that suggests he's had it rough but when you look into his eyes, you can see that he has hope.
Mother and Child- The connection that a mother has with her child is none like any other, the two are attached physically, mentally, and emotionally. In this drawing, I wanted to explore that tender moment.
Untitled- This was from a class I had in high school. We basically had to cut out a magazine clipping, cut it in half, and draw out the other half to make it look as realistic to the other side as possible.
